EPNI Seeks Summer Marketing/Communications Intern

2019 Marketing & Communications Internship
 
Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc. (EPNI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves those who live, work, or own property in Elliot Park. Our priorities for the year include influencing development, promoting community safety, and addressing community issues. 
 
Position Details
Location:             Space provided at Impact Hub, 817 5th Ave S
Job Type:            10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule, May through August
Salary:               Unpaid
Reports to:          Vanessa Haight, EPNI Executive Director
 
Communications
  • Develop content for monthly e-news, website, blog, flyers, etc.
  • Develop content for and manage EPNI Facebook page
  • Assist in developing and implementing communications strategy for Art Pop Block Party
  • Review and proof content
 
Marketing
  • Assist with EPNI brand development and growth
Event Coordination
  • Assist in planning and coordination of Art Pop Block Party
  • Assist in planning and coordination of back pack/school supply drive
 
Other Duties
  • Assist in maintenance of Nation Builder database of volunteers
  • Develop organizational management system for photo archives
  • Opportunity to shadow Executive Director and/or Community Organizer
  • Opportunity to learn about the various aspects of non-profit management (finances, board of directors support, volunteer management, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing communications/marketing degree
  • Junior or Senior status
  • Passion for community based organizations
  • Ability to work independently
