Boulevard Trees Need Water

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is reminding people to water nearby boulevard trees. We've had some recent rain, but conditions are still very dry overall this summer.

If it's a recently planted tree, it may have a tree watering bag. Otherwise, run a hose or bring a bucket of water to the tree and slowly give it water. Once a week watering makes a big difference!

Seeking New Board Members

Are you interested in supporting Elliot Park? The EPNI Board has 3 vacancies, which we're hoping to fill this summer. You can view the application and details here. These terms would be to finish an existing 2-year seat. We'll hold full-term elections at our Annual Business Meeting in September.

If you have additional questions about what we do, please reach out! We can get you connected with a current Board member to talk about what work we've done, what we're excited about this year, and how we're planning on supporting our new Executive Director to make our Community Vision happen!

Wading Pools & Splashpads are Open

The wading pool at Elliot Park and the splashpad at Franklin Steele Park are open for the season! You can check the status of these, and any city pools, for the season on the Pools, Splashpads, Water Parks Status Page throughout the summer.
