The EPNI Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting. All are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom.

New Executive Director

The Elliot Park Neighborhood Inc.'s Board of Directors has made an offer to a new Executive Director. They will be starting July 10th. We'll be sending out a special introduction post and schedule meet and greet events.

EPNI's last Executive Director, Vanessa Haight, left in late 2021. We're excited to get back to our Mission and reintroducing ourselves to the neighborhood this summer.

Free Tree Giveaway

Our neighbors at the Downtown Improvement District (DID) are running a free tree giveaway this summer!

We have 250 trees to be planted on Elliot Park properties. These properties can be residential or business. The trees are going to be 4-6' tall and the species are:

Linden
River Birch
Ironwood
Hackberry
Kentucky Coffee Tree

With this giveaway we are also offering free planting services and free pruning services for those who are interested. If anyone is interested in a tree they can apply online here. There's also a QR Code if that works better.

Free Hennepin County Fix-It Clinic

Bring your broken household items to a free Fix-It Clinic and work together with friendly, skilled volunteers to diagnose, troubleshoot and fix your stuff. We can help you with small appliances, clothing that is clean, electronics, mobile devices and more.

Fix-It Clinics teach valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills, build community connections and reduce the number of repairable things that are thrown in the trash. Clinics are noon to 4 p.m. with the last items accepted at 3:30 p.m. Events are first come, first served. No pre-registration required.

Seeking New Board Members

Are you interested in supporting Elliot Park? The EPNI Board has 3 vacancies, which we're hoping to fill this summer. You can view the application and details here. These terms would be finish an existing 2-year seat. We'll hold full-term elections at our Annual Business Meeting in September.

If you have additional questions about what we do, please reach out! We can get you connected with a current Board member to talk about what work we've done, what we're excited about this year, and how we're planning on supporting our new Executive Director to make our Community Vision happen!

Wading Pools & Splashpads are Open

The wading pool at Elliot Park and the splashpad at Franklin Steele Park are open for the season! You can check the status of these, and any city pools, for the season on the Pools, Splashpads, Water Parks Status Page throughout the summer.

Shop the Mobile Market!

The Twin Cities Mobile Market continues on Wednesdays! You can find the bus at 1515 Park Ave. All are welcome to stop by and shop. The market has beautiful and affordable produce, meat, dairy, bread, and more.
