EPNI June Calendar  

Wednesday, May 31st - Building, Land Use, and Housing Meeting
6-7pm • Zoom

The BLUH Committee is meeting to hear a presentation on the Park and Portland Avenues resurfacing project in 2024. Key changes include safety improvements, shifting from 3 to 2 car lanes, and upgrading crossings to be ADA accessible.

Monday, June 26th
 - Board of Directors Meeting

6-7:30pm • At North Central University, 1410 Elliot Ave and Via Zoom
The EPNI Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting. Moved from the 3rd Monday due to Juneteenth.

Neighborhood Notice

The Elliot Park Neighborhood Inc. Board of Directors will vote to modify their Neighborhood Revitalization Plan (NRP) on Monday, June 26. They plan to move the remaining $6,198.03 from the Housing Loan/Grant Program strategy to the Plan Implementation strategy so that they can use the funds to help cover administrative expenses. If you have questions about the plan or would like to attend the meeting, please email [email protected] or call 612-335-5846.  


We're Hiring an Executive Director - Deadline May 31st

Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc. (EPNI) is hiring an Executive Director. If you are interested, please apply! You may know someone in your network, so please pass along the full job description.

Elliot Park is a rapidly growing residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, MN with a diverse population and many distinctive regional landmarks. With its proximity to the downtown core, Elliot Park is home to both new developments as well as an abundance of historical buildings.

Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc. (EPNI) was established in 1976 with a primary focus of reinvesting in the community through renovation of existing housing and investment in new housing. The focus of the organization has shifted over the years and the current mission is to build community vitality by connecting & empowering neighbors. The Executive Director is responsible for implementing EPNI priorities, managing the day-to-day operations, and working with neighbors and partners to realize the community’s vision. This requires a broad perspective, prioritization, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a great deal of energy and creativity.

Wading Pools & Splashpads are Open

The wading pool at Elliot Park and the splashpad at Franklin Steele Park are open for the season! You can check the status of these, and any city pools, for the season on the Pools, Splashpads, Water Parks Status Page throughout the summer. 



 

Shop the Mobile Market!

The Twin Cities Mobile Market continues on Wednesdays! You can find the bus at 1515 Park Ave. All are welcome to stop by and shop. The market has beautiful and affordable produce, meat, dairy, bread, and more.
