In July, EPNI welcomed our new Executive Director, Abdulrahman Wako. He'll be meeting with many groups and individuals in the neighborhood the next few weeks.
Drop by the new EPNI office (802 S 10th St) to say hello! Wako will be in the office 11am-3pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through the month of August.

Wako previously was the Executive Director of the Union Park District Council in St. Paul.
Abdulrahman Wako is deeply connected to his community and is driven by a strong sense of purpose to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him. As a self-proclaimed poet and storyteller, he shares his experiences and wisdom through his unique blend of words, inspiring others in his community to find strength and resilience.
Through live poetry performances at local universities and on social media, Wako aims to promote inclusivity and create a sense of unity among community members. He believes in the power of storytelling to foster understanding and empathy, ultimately bringing people together.
Beyond the arts, Wako actively engages with his community, seeking to address the challenges they face and empower individuals to make a difference in their own lives. He is passionate about psychology and quantum physics, using these disciplines to gain insights into human behavior and personal growth, which he then shares with others.
Wako’s commitment to his community goes beyond words. He takes practical steps to improve the lives of those around him, ensuring that his efforts have a meaningful and lasting impact. He believes that by helping others lead better lives, he can contribute to creating a more livable and compassionate world for everyone, both present and future generations.
